If you are an official resident of Europe, you can get an Interrail Pass. If you live outside Europe, get yourself a Eurail Pass.
You need to be a resident of Europe to be eligible for an Interrail One-Country Pass. Additionally, you cannot purchase the Interrail One-Country Pass for your European country of residence. For example, if you are a resident of Germany, you cannot purchase the Interrail Germany Pass.
Interrail One-Country Passes are offered in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Finland, Austria, and 30 other European countries.
You cannot buy an Interrail One-Country Pass for your official European country of residence.
If you have an Interrail One-Country Pass, you can reserve seats for most trains on the Interrail website. You can also reserve through the railway carriers’ website, or at the train station. Check out the Interrail seat reservation page for more information.
During high travel season, and for popular trains, you need to reserve your seats as soon as possible for they tend to sell out fast. Seat reservation booking windows are often six to three months before departure. Check out the Interrail seat reservation page for more information.

An Interrail Spain Pass is for domestic travel within Spain. You cannot travel from the Netherlands to Spain with an Interrail Spain Pass, however, you can opt for an Interrail Global Pass if you need to travel between countries.

Interrail One-Country Pass has a long validity period and can be used within 11 months of purchase.
